The Christopher Guy Doll’s House is an extraordinary one-off work of miniature art, featuring over 150 pieces of individually hand crafted furnishings, wallcoverings and accessories. Built to scale 1:10, so grander than the classic 1:12 scale of traditional doll’s houses, this unique piece is a celebration of the skills and expertise of the master craftspeople who make Christopher Guy furnishings in their ateliers in Java using techniques handed down through generations of carvers, gilders, artists and upholsterers. Each piece is a scale replica of designs from the renowned furnishings collection. Complementing these extraordinary miniature creations are wallcoverings which have been hand painted and embroidered to scale from the full size designs of Fromental; curtains, rugs and chandeliers made from braids, tassels and fringes by trim specialists Samuel & Sons; and silk bedding, robes and even a tiny eye mask from Gingerlily. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of miniature history.
